Cooler Master was founded in 1992 and has been around for over 25 years now. In this time they have managed to grab the attention gamers with their coolers, cases, and gaming peripherals, which all stand out as being one of the leading brands on the market. This is no different from the MK850 Mechanical keyboard that has just been released.

Official Press Release

cooler-master-mk850-mechanical-keyboard-picture2On the 27th of March 2019, Cooler Master announced the release of the MK850 Pressure Sensitive Mechanical Keyboard. During the press release, the following was said about this new addition to the Cooler Master Mechanical Keyboard Range:

“The MK850 is the world’s first mechanical keyboard, using Cherry MX switches, capable of sensing exactly how far down you press the key,” says Lance Madsen, Aimpad™ Principle Engineer. “It provides unparalleled control in even the most demanding PC games.”

“We wanted to implement Aimpad™ technology to provide gamers with an extra tool and to push our innovation efforts to the next level,” says Bryant Nguyen, Peripheral General Manager.

What Can We Expect?

cooler-master-mk850-mechanical-keyboard-picture3So what does the MK850 keyboard bring to the table? The new MK850 is equipped with the Aimpad™ technology, the same technology that is found in aviation joysticks, steering wheels and gaming controllers, that allows the gamer to control the speed, yaw, adjust the pitch, creep, and roll. For example, during a racing game, the gamer, with the help of Aimpad™, will be able to make smooth turns or gently ease into the corners by just adjusting the pressure applied to the keys on the MK850 – Impressive to say the least!

Additionally, the MK850 is fitted with the MX Cherry Red Switches, which are not just durable and responsive, but also really easy to press. So you don’t have to fight with your keyboard in a sense. This keyboard also looks really pretty with full RGB 16.7 Million colors. The MK850 harbors a removable wrist rest for ultimate comfort, two programmable precision scroll wheels, five dedicated macro keys with four profiles, a detachable USB Type-C cable, dedicated multimedia keys for quick access to commonly used commands, and a sleek high-grade anodized aluminum top plate. The MK850 is fully programmable through Cooler Master’s easy to use software suite.

The information above is all part of the press release that was recently sent out, and I hope to have an update on this article as soon as the MK850 becomes available for review.
