The latest news item from Cooler Master has had a buzz about it, and with good reason. The MM710 is Cooler Master’s lightest mouse, weighing at about 53g, and it looks fantastic! Below is the public release note from Cooler Master for the MM710 now available in South Africa. We are going to have a brief look at that, and then we will do a video plus full article on the MM710 soon.
Public Release Note:
The lightweight nature of the MM710 allows for quicker movements and longer gaming sessions with minimal fatigue and decreased wrist pain. With a durable perforated honeycomb shell, the mouse without cable weighs in at less than 53g – making it the lightest gaming mouse with a top-of-the-line sensor on the market today. This drastically reduced weight works in conjunction with other premium features to enhance the users’ gaming experience. A specially designed ultralight braided cable for minimal interference, PTFE feet for glide found only in aftermarket modifications, and an internal PCBA that is dust- and water-resistant for improved durability. Standard pro-grade features round out the complete package: an adjustable 16000 DPI Pixart optical sensor, Omron mouse switches, and ambidextrous ergonomic design.
“The MM710 was created due to popular demand for a lightweight, full-featured, premium gaming mouse,” says Bryant Nguyen, Peripheral General Manager. “We wanted a product that would feel great in your hand, no matter your grip type, without compromising on features or durability to accomplish that.”
Lightweight Honeycomb Design with Ultraweave Cable
The mouse features a new, perforated “honeycomb” shell that drops the weight to less than 53g. The mouse’s internals is also redesigned to increase durability, significantly decreasing the flex on the mouse sides. A deceptively durable Ultraweave cable reduces cable pull while swiping. These two features combined results in quicker movements, minimal fatigue, and more gaming.
Gaming-Grade Optical Sensor and OMRON Switches
Optimized for greater control and precision in-game, the MM710’s Pixart 3389 optical sensor is adjustable up to 16000 DPI. The mouse’s settings for fully customizable via software, such as sensitivity, button response time, surface tuning, lift-off distance, polling rate, and more. The mouse’s left and right buttons include OMRON switches – graded for 20 million presses that remain true until the end.
Superior PTFE Mouse Feet
The MM710 comes preinstalled with upgraded feet that’s leaps and bounds better than standard stock feet. The 95% pure PFTE material provides low friction, consistent glide to enhance your gaming performance greatly.
Ambidextrous Shape Optimized for Right-handers
Featuring two side buttons for easy access to keybinds, the ambidextrous shape makes the mouse comfortable for multiple grip types. The form of the MM710 derives from the widely-acclaimed MasterMouse S shape with a slight hump in the back, which provides extra palm support for gamers that prefer claw grip. Small enough to fingertip for most hand sizes, the MM710’s shape also allows palm gripping for smaller sized hands.
This mouse is gorgeous. I want one personally. There is so much that goes into this, and we will be doing a full written review and YouTube on it shortly, so stay tuned for that. For now, if you would like to comment on the design of the MM710, or maybe you have one already, leave a comment below.
